Adrian Carsini iwas played by actor Donald Pleasence. Carsini appears in the episode "Any Old Port in a Storm," which originally aired on October 7, 1973. In the episode, Adrian Carsini is a wealthy and renowned wine expert who owns a vineyard and winery in California. When his younger brother threatens to sell the family business, Carsini murders him in a fit of rage. He attempts to cover up the crime by staging it to look like an accidental drowning, but Lieutenant Columbo, played by Peter Falk, is called in to investigate. Columbo becomes suspicious of Carsini early on in the investigation and is convinced that the wealthy wine expert is behind the murder. Despite Carsini's attempts to outwit the detective, Columbo ultimately uncovers the truth and brings him to justice. Donald Pleasence was a highly regarded British actor who appeared in numerous films and TV shows over his career, including the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice," the horror classic "Halloween," and the World War II epic "The Great Escape." His performance as Adrian Carsini in "Any Old Port in a Storm" is considered one of the standout performances in the "Columbo" series.
