Last Words to Columbo: "That son of a bitch!"
Cathleen Calvert (played by Shera Danese) and Patrick Kinsley (played by David Rasche) are tired of sneaking around to see each other. However, Cathleen cannot leave her wealthy husband, Clifford Calvert (played by Barry Corbin), due to their prenuptial agreement. They then frame Clifford for the crime. To carry out the plan, Patrick drives to Seltzer's house and gains entry by lying about needing to make an urgent phone call due to a dead car phone. Once inside, he shoots Seltzer and plants evidence to implicate Clifford in the murder. Shera Danese is also known for her marriage to actor Peter Falk.
