Robert Foxworth plays the character Colonel Frank Brailie. In the episode, "Grand Deceptions", Colonel Frank Brailie (Robert Foxworth) is the head of a military training camp and finds himself blackmailed by an underling over an embezzlement. In true Columbo villain style he decides to kill the guy off during a training exercise. Robert Foxworth is an American actor who has appeared in film, television, and on stage. He was born on November 1, 1941, in Houston, Texas. After studying acting at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, he began his career in the theater, performing in various productions on and off-Broadway. Foxworth's breakthrough role came in the 1970s when he was cast as Chase Gioberti in the popular TV series, Falcon Crest. He appeared in the series for six seasons and became a fan favorite. He has also made guest appearances in numerous other TV shows, including Law & Order, The West Wing, and Six Feet Under. In film, Foxworth has appeared in a variety of movies, including Damien: Omen II, Prophecy, and Transformers. He has also done voice work for animated shows like Justice League and Batman: The Animated Series. In addition to acting, Foxworth is also an accomplished stage director and has directed productions of various plays, including Shakespeare's The Tempest. He has also won critical acclaim for his work in the theater, receiving an Obie Award for his performance in the play, The School for Scandal.
