Findlay Crawford commits the heinous act of murdering a gifted composer and musician who had been ghostwriting most of Crawford's work in recent years, including the entire score for their latest award-winning film. Crawford's motive for this brutal crime was fueled by his envy of the young musician, as well as a fear of being exposed. According to IMDB, Billy Connolly's character name, "Finlay Crawford", is taken from his stand-up comedy, in which he mocks the names wealthy parents give their children. "Finlay" and "Crawford" are two separate names he cites as being particularly irksome. Billy Connolly is a Scottish comedian, actor, musician, and TV presenter, born on November 24, 1942, in Glasgow, Scotland. He began his career as a folk singer in the late 1960s, but soon found fame as a stand-up comedian.
